Description

We have a vacancy in our HR Team for a Rewards Manager, reporting directly to the Chief People Officer. This role is to provide leadership on KFC Africa’s Total Reward Strategy including developing, implementing and administering total rewards and benefits and related strategic HR projects. Overall responsibility for strategy, policy, systems and analytic. Generate insights that inform, drive and support KFC Africa’s talent recruitment, reward and retention agenda. Supports KFC’s agenda to be Employer of choice through a compelling EVP. Owns the EE planning process in alignment with KFC’s transformation objectives. Partners with and provides rewards insights to the Franchise partners.

Key responsibilities:

  • Compensation and benefits review, development, structuring, analysis, metrics, implementation and administration
  • EE Plan development, reporting & measurement – 60%
  • Engagement with Service Providers, Agencies, Candidates, Dept of Labour.
  • Supporting the People Planning Review Processes – 40%

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • HR diploma or related business degree
  • Preferrable Global Remunerations Professional (GRP)

Experience:

  • Minimum of 6 years in a Reward or HR role, preferably in retail/FMCG, operations/service industry
  • Develop and implement a Total Reward Strategy, framework and guidelines inclusive of our approach to retention of high potential employees for RSC and Field which is aligned with the overall business plan
  • Manage and enhance the Executive Reward Strategy and concepts based on the
    company’s global and local reward strategies
  • Execute the Total Reward Strategy to include: Salary and Benefit benchmarking, Internal and External
  • Market analysis and positioning, Medical and Provident Fund Management, Annual Merit and Short-Term Incentive review processes, Executive compensation management.
    Prepare Monthly HR and Reward Dashboards/Metrics (incl. any other relevant insights)
  • Reward policies and processes review
  • Conduct ongoing Total Reward research into emerging trends, issues and best practice, both locally and globally
  • Business expert in all matters relating to reward and benefits, advising senior managers and the HR team accordingly
  • Support in global mobility of imported and exported talent which is aligned to the Global Mobility Policy
  • Prepare for sign-off Letters of Understanding (LOU’s) and packages ensuring our offers are attractive, market competitive and comply with Employment Equity standards
  • Design, develop and implement Wellness Programs that takes account of feedback from Discovery, employee surveys and the like thereof
  • Onboard new employees with all required forms and policies
  • Update, Maintain and utilize Oracle for the annual PPR process etc.
  • Work closely with Internal Communications Manager to design and develop the tools and applications to ensure that communications with employees are effective.
  • Design, develop and maintain Reward and Recognition practices across RSC
  • Continuously build know-how of employees on our Total Reward Strategy
  • Work closely with service providers on expat packages, relocation and tax regulations
  • Review monthly payroll
  • Work on HR Projects such as the Streetwise Academy Development Programs

Competencies:

  • HR diploma or business degree
  • Advanced Excel Skills – essential
  • Global Remunerations Professional (GRP) certification preferred.
  • SAGE – advantage
  • MicroStrategy or any relevant BI system knowledge – advantageous
  • Highly numerate with strong analytical skills
  • Mature in handling and dealing with highly confidential information
  • Ability to read, understand, analysis and interpret data and statistical information
  • Ability to make informed decisions based on data and statistics
  • Ability to structure compensation and benefits packages and measure their success
  • Experience with engaging, managing and building relationships with internal and external service providers.
  • Experience with HR information systems.
