Job Advert Summary

This exciting opportunity exists in our Information Systems Division based in Kenilworth, Cape Town.
We are looking for a dynamic individual to assist with the installation and maintenance of SAP products and components for on-prem systems as well as SAP systems within the AWS cloud ecosystem.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or equivalent
• 6+ years of relevant work experience
• Knowledge of Linux (SLES) and/or Unix (AIX)
• Experience within a large SAP site
• SAP NetWeaver/HANA Certification
• AWS Solutions Architect Associate Certificate will be beneficial
• Experience in securing SAP connections through encryption will be beneficial
• Basic exposure to SAP Cloud Platform will be beneficial

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform systems health checks and implement preventative and corrective actions in line with IT operations calendar
• Monitor SAP systems’ health
• Configure, manage, and monitor the SAP Transport Management System
• Implement SAP support packages and patches/notes as per SAP recommendation or as required by business
• Upgrade SAP EHP versions (POSDM, SCM, CRM, BW, ECC, PO/PI)
• Upgrade SAP EHP versions (POSDM, SCM, CRM, BW, ECC, PO/PI)
• Identify and implement cost optimization opportunities by making use of AWS Cloud services
• Perform HANA Database health checks and implement preventative and corrective actions
• Identify problem areas (bottlenecks) in the performance of databases
  Provide after-hours support
