Minimum Requirements
Qualification(s):

  • Grade 12 / N3 Academic / National Qualifications Framework (NQF) Level 4.

Experience:

  • 5 years administrative experience of which 2 years should have been in a technical document management environment, data capturing, and/or using any CAD computer package.

  • Able to read and understand engineering drawings and reports.
  • Understand and able to operate database and computerized maintenance management systems.

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of Documentation and Record Control Processes and Systems.
  • Understanding of ISO9001 Document Management Requirements.
  • CAD drawings.
  • Good knowledge on reading and interpreting plant and general engineering drawings.
  • MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel.
  • MS Access (Data Capturing).
  • MS Vision (Flow Charts and Organograms).

The following will be an advantage.

  • Knowledge of MS SharePoint and Hyper wave.
  • Above average engineering and technical knowledge of thermal power plant boilers and the management of power generation assets.
  • Knowing how to operate a boiler health care system and/or computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

SHEQ Responsibilities:

  • Continuous Improvement:
    – Ensure that your Administration Documentation is current, and includes your SHEQ Objectives.
    – Ensure that all Legal appointments are valid and in your department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing outage data through the boiler health care system.
  • Track inspections issued versus what is issued in real time during the outage.
  • Schedule inspection points on the boiler health care system.
  • Capture manually and upload inspection results on the boiler health care system.
  • Schedule corrective actions on the boiler health care system.
  • Close-out open corrective actions and update where-failure/inspection area progress during the outage.
  • Schedule outage milestones and update accordingly as outage progresses.
  • Create files for outage reports.
  • Create and manage outage data on the Boiler health care plant care folder.
  • Attends outage meetings.
  • Attends to call-outs as and when required.
  • Will be required to travel to assist during outages on other power stations.
  • Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Assist senior and junior plant care engineers as required/necessary.
  • Assist where required as determined by the site Senior Plant Care Engineer.
  • Record Control.
