SASOL: Artisan Mechanical Fitter
Install, repair, and maintain pipelines, machinery, and associated plant and ancillary equipment allied with mechanical processes.
Position: Artisan Fitter Mechanical (Artisan Gr 2 up to Snr Artisan)
Geographical area: Sasolburg, Freestate, South Africa
FUNCTIONAL OUTPUTS
- Removal, overhaul of pumps
- Removal and replacement of piping systems, valves and related equipment
- Open and box up of flanged connections and related equipment
- Replacement of damaged parts that are beyond repair
- Fault finding and related repairs on pump and piping systems
- Maintenance on engine flexible couplings.
- Lifting of heavy equipment via overhead crane
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Physically fit, must be able to lift equipment weighing 20 kg.
- Valid code B license.
- Standby and occasional overtime.
- Knowledge of emergency procedures.
- Must be able to work at heights.
- Computer literacy, with basic MS office operational knowledge.
Qualifications:
- High School / School Diploma or similar (Matric/N3 Maths and Science).
- Trade test certificate NQF level 4 Mechanical Fitter (Red seal preferable).
Experience:
- 3 years maintenance experience, working in a petrochemical environment.
- The position will be filled in line with the relevant approved MSP career guide.
