Kumba Iron Ore: Auto Electrician Learnership

• Being proactive in solving business needs and being able to effectively maintain our electrical equipment and systems.
• Ensuring effective maintenance of plant equipment and related machinery to ensure optimal utilisation and availability toward maximising production and throughput schedules.
• Ensuring installations, commissioning of infrastructure and post-installation work testing for functionality is executed in accordance with specifications, within agreed time schedule and budgetary limits.
• Continuously monitor maintenance progress and related preparation activities against planned schedules to meet operational targets, minimize downtime, enable timely reporting and enhance plant efficiency.
• Liaising with relevant personnel to arrange assistance regarding resources required (both equipment and people) to ensure successful task execution.

This role is in the Engineering department at a J4 level and will be reporting to the Engineering Foreman

• Grade 12 with Maths and Science or Technical N3.
• N2 Certificate.
• Auto Electrician Trade Test.
• Be able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Computer Literate.
• Driver’s license.

Experience:

• 2 years post trade experience as an Auto Electrician in the Mining Industry.
