Introduction:

The Steel plant Electrician is responsible to provide electrical maintenance support to the Steel plant area, daily inspections and repair all electrical equipment to ensure maximum plant availability and efficiency.

Specification:

• Provide Electrical Maintenance support to the Steel plant area.
• Daily Inspections and repairs of Electrical Equipment to ensure plant availability and efficiency.
• Complete Job Cards and deviation schedules.
• Planned Shutdown work.
• Loading of orders for spares.

Requirements:

• Matric or N3 with relevant trade test in the Electrical field.
• A minimum of 3-5 year relevant experience.
• Knowledge of electrical systems such as Breakers, DC and AC motors, cabling, earth protection systems, lighting.
• Ability to apply electrical Principles.
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, foreman and customers.
• Ability to do trouble shooting on motors and motor circuits.
• Knowledge of basic instrumentation, hydraulics, pneumatics and process control will be beneficial.
• Computer literate.
• Tolerance for stress & sense of urgency.
• Flexible and willing to work overtime when required.
