MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Highest qualification of Grade 12 (Matric)
• Unemployed youth (18 to 35 Years)
• 2% with a physical disability

DUTIES:

• Preparing the classroom for lessons, tidying up and keeping the classtoom in good order.
• Supervise learners in the classroom, school yard and outdoor play area as well as helping on schoo! outings or at School Events
• To provide a safe environment on both indoor and outdoor activities and guide leamers of safe practices
• To maintain discipline in the classroom and encourage positive behaviour from leamers
• Supporting leamers with learning difficulties or disabilies and assisting them to access facilities such as ablution facilities.
• To assist the Grade R educator’s with packing and unpacking of educational toys.
• To provide a healthy environment and attend to the personal hygiene of each child under one’s care including (changing soiled clothing & washing hands) to help feed and generally provide one-on-one attention when needed.
• To listen to parents as experts of their own children and respect families’ tradition and childcare practices.
• To be aware of the signs and symptoms which indicate the possibility of abuse and to be aware of current procedures for reporting such.
• To assist in the creation of a classroom environment conducive to teaching and learning.
• To work cooperatively and effectively as a team member by communicating information on a continuous basis.
