General Worker Job At SANParks | A challenging vacancy opportunity currently exists for a permanent General Worker within the Technical Department in Mountain Zebra National Park. The appointed participant will be reporting to the Technical Officer.

Location: MOUNTAIN ZEBRA NATIONAL PARK

Requirements

  • Grade 12 certificate or equivalent.
  • Code 8 Drivers licence.
  • Physically fit and able to do physically demanding work.
  • No criminal record – SAPS Verification will be done.
  • General knowledge of Geysers, Tiling, Painting, Aircons and refrigeration.
  • Willing to work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

  • To assist in managing civil building maintenance by agreed procedures and operational environment.
  • To investigate  and resolve problems that are for Technical nature.
  • General and administration – including timesheets, logbooks and reports.
  • Operating of the Waste-Water purification plant and Water purification plant.
  • Assist with the control of contractor’s behavior on camp sites and infield.
  • Maintenance of fences, water points, roads and infrastructure.
  • Assist with maintenance and management of all assets.
  • Assist with activities in the park as and when required.
  • Ensure Occupational  Health and Safety requirements.
  • Vehicle and workplace inspection.
  • Willing to work flexible hours.

Please Note

  • Successful candidates will be required to stay out of the park, Housing allowance will be allocated. It maybe required from successful candidates to work on weekend and Public Holidays.
  • Preference will be given to individuals who have General working experience.

Salary: R123,884.89 – R165,767.11
