Job Purpose: The incumbent is responsible for washing and cleaning pots, pans, and cooking equipment, thereby ensuring a high standard of cleanliness in their allocated areas.

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas.
• Load and unload kitchenware in washing machines.
• Wash specific items by hand.
• Store clean dishes, glasses, and equipment appropriately.
• Set up workstations before meal preparation begins.
• Ensure that there are always enough clean dishes, glasses, and utensils, especially during peak hours.
• Maintain cleaning supplies stock and place orders when necessary.
• Check washing machines’ operations, keep the machines clean, and promptly report any technical/performance issues.
• Bag and haul garbage to refuse bins at allocated times.
• Sanitise the kitchen area and floors.
• Clean food preparations and production areas as required.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Matric NQF Level 4 is advantageous.
• 1-2 years cleaning experience.
