SANDF Application Forms 2025

The application forms for the 2025 South African National Defence Force (SANDF) Military Skills Development (MSD) system are available on the SANDF website. 

General requirements:

• Applicants must be South African citizens.
• Applicants must be between the ages of 18–22 if they haven’t completed Grade 12.
• Applicants must be between the ages of 18–26 if they have a three-year tertiary qualification or N6.
• Applicants must have successfully completed Grade 12.
• Applicants must have no criminal record or pending cases.
• Applicants must meet medical fitness requirements.
• Applicants must be prepared to serve in uniform and undergo basic military training
  

Additional requirements:

• Requirements may differ for the South African Air Force (SAAF), Navy (SAN), and the Military Health Service (SAMHS).
• Applicants with foreign qualifications must submit a SAQA evaluation report.
• Non-South African citizens must provide certified proof of permanent residence.
• Applicants must provide the names, addresses, and phone numbers of at least three references.

Applicants should note that the South African National Defence Force (SANDF) does not have any online application system.

Forms can be obtained from the above mentioned venues.
