Project 20K is Offering 20,000 Graduate Internship Opportunities Across South Africa From 2025 To 2027
The Department of Employment and Labour’s Project 20K is offering 20,000 graduate internship opportunities across South Africa from 2025 to 2027. This 24-month programme provides hands-on experience in various government departments, with a monthly stipend of R7,860. Eligible candidates must be South African citizens, unemployed, and hold a matric certificate and relevant post-school qualification.

The Department of Employment and Labour would like to invite qualifying graduates to apply to participate in an internship programme in the 2025 to 2027 financial year. Applicants must be unemployed graduates, should not have participated in an internship programme previously and must be a South African citizen. - Western Cape.
- Free State.
- KwaZulu Natal.
- Eastern Cape.
- Limpopo.
- North West.
- Mpumalanga.
- Northern Cape.
Who Can Apply?
- South African citizens.
- Individuals who are unemployed and seeking workplace experience.
- Those who have not previously participated in any internship programme.
- Holders of a matric certificate and a relevant post-school qualification.
- Preference will be given to qualifying South African youth, persons with disabilities, and individuals from previously disadvantaged groups.
Equity Considerations: Priority will be given to applicants from previously disadvantaged background, in line with the Department’s Employment Equity Plan, those living with disability will be considered.
Qualifying South African Youth and People living with disability will beĀ given advantage.
