Learnerships and Skills Programme
Port Elizabeth TVET College is inviting youth to apply for the learnerships and Skills programmes listed below.
Youth must be currently unemployed and not studying towards another qualification, must be between ages of 18-35.
Programme Admission Requirements
1. ICB Bookkeeping NQF L3 – L6 Full Qualification
Grade 10 with mathematics
Grade 12 with maths lit and accounting will be an added advantage
2. New Venture Creation NQF L2 Learnership
Grade 10 – 12
Must have basic numeracy & Communication
Must have already set up own business
Must be business orientated
3. Early Childhood Development NQF L4 Learnership
Grade 10 – 12
Must have basic numeracy & Communication
Must already be practising in an ECD registered Centre without formal qualification
4. Early Childhood Development NQF L5 Learnership
Must have completed ECD L4
Must already be practising in a registered ECD Centre/Pre-School/Early Foundation
5. End-User Computing NQF L3 Learnership
Grade 10 – 12
Must be competent in skills gained at the Further Education and Training band up to NQF L2
6. Craft Enterprise NQF L4 (Jewellery & Ceramics) Learnership
Grade 12
Must have basic numeracy & Communication
Must have a passion for creation of arts and craft products
7. Professional Cookery NQF L4 Learnership
Grade 11-12
Must be creative, love cooking
8. Hairdressing NQF Level L2- L4 Learnership
Grade 12
Must already be working in a registered salon
9. Clothing Production
Skills Programme (6 Months)
Grade 10 -12
Must be creative
10. Furniture Making: Wood
Skills Programme (6 months)
Grade 10-12
Engineering or related activities at NQF L1 will be an added advantage
11. Agriculture: Plant Production
Skills Programme (3 months)
Grade 10-12
Agricultural Background will be an added advantage
