Purpose of the Road Accident Fund Learnership: The Road Accident Fund (RAF) is committed to empowering South African youth by providing skills development and workplace learning opportunities through the Road Accident Fund Learnership. Applications are now open for the Medical Management, aimed at unemployed young people who have completed Matric (Grade 12) only and are between the ages of 18 and 23 years.

Employment Type: Learnership
Job Posting Salary: R4,500.00

Work based exposure may include the following:

Undertaking functions

  • Manual payments, MIS system, claim’s view functions, VMS system.
  • Trustees and Curator fees processes.
  • Invoice payment processes.
  • Caregiver payments processes.

Preauthorisation functions and supplier claim processes

  • Treatment plans.
  • Assessment of invoices.
  • Bill review templates, preauthorisation assessments and procedures.
  • Communication of outcomes with other team members.

Medical Management functions

  • AMA Guides principles.
  • Medical Management assessments templates and processes.
  • Communication of outcomes with other team members.
  • Drafting of undertakings and the importance of Care plan (previously called BOC).

Case Management functions

  • Allocations and processes in Field and office case management.
  • Private and Public hospital case management.
  • Treatment plans drafting.
  • Fleet management process.

Qualifications and other requirements

  • Certified copy of Grade 12/ Matric Certificate.
  • Certified copy of your ID.
  • Certified copy of Grade 12 results.
  • Your CV and motivational letter.

Remuneration

  5. Should it be found that the applicant previously served as a learner and did not disclose that info and it is discovered later, the applicant will be disqualified.
