The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) offers a Military Skills Development (MSD) program on a two-year contract. During the first year of service, recruits undergo initial military training followed by specialised functional training within their respective Services. In the second year, depending on the requirements of their specific mustering, members are deployed to various Units where they are given the opportunity to apply their knowledge, develop leadership qualities, and enhance their practical skills in a professional environment.
Requirements:
- RSA Citizen (No dual citizenship).
- 18-22 years of age (Grade 12)
- 18 – 26 years of age when reporting.
- (3 years Tertiary Qualification) Admission Point Score (APS) 18 and above, excluding Life Orientation (LO). (Maths & Physical Science will be required for specialised mustering ie. Aviation engineering etc
- Have no criminal record or pending cases.
- Comply with medical requirements. (Applicants will be subjected to drug testing, psychometric and medical evaluation.
- No Visible tattoos (when in uniform), verification through body inspection.
Attach your CV and Copies of: ID, Matric Certificate (only statement of results for 2025 will be accepted) and Tertiary Qualifications with the application form.
