JOB SUMMARY

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing effective and efficient general cleaning services on the precinct of Parliament as per the relevant cleaning standards and requirements.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

  1. Cleaning of occupant spaces and areas.
  2. Cleaning of public spaces and common areas.
  3. Health and Safety – Compliance.

TO QUALIFY, YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Minimum requirement: Grade 10.
  • Grade 11 or a relevant equivalent NQF Level 3 qualification will be considered an advantage.
  • 2 Years’ relevant experience.

IN ADDITION, YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO DEMOSTRATE THE FOLLOWING SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS AND JOB-RELATED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Ability to read, write and follow schedules and instructions.
  • Ability to adapt to changes easily.
  • Able to work flexible hours and shifts.
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards as they relate to cleaning processes and activities.
  • Knowledge of office cleaning processes and procedures.
  • Experience in the use of industrial type cleaning machines and equipment (vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaners, etc.).
