We are seeking skilled and motivated Blockman to join our dynamic team. SPAR is Hiring Blockman Jobs will play a pivotal role in cutting meat products to the quality standards of the Butchery manager’s production plans. Apply Food Safety standards. Know how to handle butchery equipment’s.
Reporting to: Store Manager
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Implement daily production plans control stock.
- Conduct spot checks on scales to ensure they are correctly calibrated.
- Make sure correct scale labels are used for the correct products with the correct sell by dates.
- Ensure the correct packaging is used for specific products
- All equipment is cleaned and sanitized at the end of each shift using suitable cleaning agents.
- Cleaning schedules are implemented according to the butchery manager’s requirements.
- Follow systems used to ensure that all customer orders are produced to quality standards in the correct time.
- Cut a variety of meat species in the most cost-effective way.
- De-boning varieties of meat.
- Process and manufacture a variety of processed meat products including sausages and mince.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 / NQF level 4 qualification.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- 1-3 years blockman experience.
- Problem solving skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Flexibility to work on weekends and public holidays.
- High level of integrity.
